The Engineering Tech Building at Eastland-Fairfield Career Center is a 43,000-square-foot facility focused on welding, aviation and pre-engineering programs.
Challenges
Claypool Electric was the subcontractor responsible for the combined electric and technology work in the $10.3 million facility. The project was hampered by weather-related delays after a large section of a concrete masonry wall was destroyed during a strong storm.
Outcome
The completed facility offers 30 welding booths and approximately a dozen computerized numerical control (CNC) machines and flight simulators.
