The largest capital project in Muskingum University’s history, the 119,000-square-foot complex dramatically expands and enhances facilities to support academic programs, athletics, recreation and well-being.
The facility features:
- A wellness corridor with a diagnostic hub and fitness center
- A new stadium, including sports lighting and sound
- An indoor competition and training field house with turf and a track
- A rooftop solar array with an iconic “M” outline
Challenges
Budget constraints and difficult site logistics required collaborative thinking for this project. The site sits on the side of a steep hill, creating challenges, including the installation of the new pole-mounted sports lights.
Outcome
Despite the pandemic occurring in the midst of the project, and multiple delays to predecessor work, Claypool Electric completed its work on schedule.
Highlights
This was our fourth large-scale capital project Claypool Electric successfully completed for Muskingum University with our partner Lincoln Construction.
