CABLING TECHNICIANS
As technology grows, so does the need for capable and productive installers. Our Technology Services group is involved with building and maintaining critical communication and information systems in the facilities we work in. Some of the systems we install and maintain are networking infrastructure, wifi, fiber optics, security systems, telephone systems, closed circuit cameras, access control systems, and audio and video distribution.
We hire and train all levels of BISCI technicians.

Claypool Electric, Inc., in partnership with ABC of Central Ohio, sponsors an in house Electrical Apprenticeship Program using both online and lab/classroom instruction at our Lancaster headquarters. Our program is approved by the Department of Labor and the State of Ohio Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, and is an NCCER accredited training site.
Our Electrical Apprenticeship program is accredited through Columbus State and those who complete the program are eligible for 30 hours of college credit. Apprentices are enrolled as students at Columbus State during the program.
During your four years of apprenticeship training, you learn all aspects of commercial and industrial electrical work while you build experience and earn a paycheck! This four year program ends with certification from the State and NCCER.
Students who take part in an Electrical program at a Career Technical School may be eligible to have their high school education count for part of their classroom experience, shortening the apprenticeship to three years. We also work with Career Technical programs around the state to recruit qualifying juniors who are eligible for School-to-Apprenticeship programs that allow you to work on a job site during your senior year and apply that to your schooling. Those who wish to participate in the School-to-Apprenticeship programs must complete a pre-screening assessment as well as drug and background screens.
All applicants are required to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks. Electrical experience is helpful but not necessary.
